The Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award is a prestigious competition that empowers students to design innovative solutions for real-world problems, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills on a national stage. Organized by the Tan Kah Kee Foundation, this annual event encourages young minds to apply scientific principles and cutting-edge technology to tackle pressing challenges. Participants from primary to tertiary levels are invited to submit their inventions, which are evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges. Winners gain invaluable exposure and the chance to be recognized for their groundbreaking contributions to society.

Coding Lab welcomes students aged 10-18 to join our specially designed training program, guiding participants from idea conceptualization to project development. From brainstorming inventive solutions to building functional prototypes, we’ll help you turn your ideas into reality!

No prior experience in entrepreneurship or software development? No problem! Our training program ensures participants master advanced features and gain a robust foundation in coding, innovation, and presentation. Pre-requisites for Participants

• Age 10 – 18 years old in 2025
• Participants are to sign up individually and will be put into teams comprising of 1 to 3 members

Prior experience in coding required:

• Ages 10 – 12: Must have completed P202 App Inventor 2
• Ages 13 – 18: Must have completed S112 Python 2

Grouping will be done by Coding Lab tutors, and this will be based on the student's age and strengths to foster group synergy. No more than 3 students will be allowed to join a team. Students can only join 1 team.
