In this research area, students will get to program a complex game reminiscent of the popular Arcade game from the 70's, Space Invaders.
Using the Python Turtle module, students apply programming concepts such as defining Functions, List, For Loop and Range(). They learn how to control the turtle, calculate distance, add sound effects / music into the game and add extra features / game enhancers into their game. They will also undergo the process of Game Testing prior to releasing the polished version of their creation.
The end product potentially ranges from games such as a fun Pokemon Game to an Alien Defense shooting game, with extensive modifications and personalisation from the students themselves.
