COMP-GEN - Minecraft Cup 2025 Training Course (Ages 7-9) - ONLINE
Innovate, Automate, and Create a beautiful, sustainable Minecraft World with Code!
The Microsoft Minecraft Cup is an annual competition that focuses on various themes each year and aims to allow students’ creativity to come alive as they develop Minecraft worlds that are in line with these themes.
In collaboration with our sister campus, Coding Lab Japan, we are inviting our Coding Lab students (ages 7-18) to participate in this competition! Students from both Singapore and Japan work together in teams to come up with innovative ideas and make them come to life in the Minecraft World through code.
Pre-requisites for Participants
- Student's age should be 7-9 as of 1 April 2026
- Prior experience in coding required - For Ages 7-9: Must have Completed P102 Scratch 2
- Prior coding experience in Minecraft is NOT required
Minecraft Cup 2025 Competition Training Package (ONLINE) - Ages 7-9
Students must attend the following:
Weekly Minecraft Coaching and Meeting Sessions
- Every Sunday, 4.15pm - 6.15pm (15 June - 17 August)
- 9 sessions x 2 hours (1 hour Group meeting + 1 hour Minecraft Coding)
- All participants must attend the 5 core meetings (Compulsory dates: 15/6, 22/6, 27/7, 3/8, 17/8) AND
- At least 2 out of the 4 optional sessions (See Course Schedule), although full attendance for all meetings is encouraged

- Access to Minecraft servers (Servers maintained by Coding Lab, 10am – 10pm during competition)

Relevant Feedback
The lessons were interesting and fun which my child enjoyed and looked forward to each week. However, could consider holding the sessions in person as the kids require much help with IT/technical issues. Time could be saved if there was staff on site to help them with the troubleshooting.
