Coding Lab

Get a headstart on core concepts in Biology such as genetics, white and red blood cells, cell division, DNA sequencing and cell structure, a critical component of the Primary School Science Curriculum. Students will write programs that model and deepen their understanding of these concepts in Biology in a fun and understandable way. Learn how living things inherit traits from their parents, use the Punnett square to track these traits and then model the concept of randomness with code, explore the different types of white blood cells with a game that shows how they protect our bodies, use cloning and exponential math to simulate the process of mitosis (Cell Division), create a fun game that ensures the correct DNA base pairing, and draw a full labelled diagram of an animal cell.
